Activate Sessions are focused on shifting and activating novel brain states.  While these can be relaxing, the sessions also stimulate processes associated with higher-level cognition.  There are guidance sections to help you relax and also sequences of audible affirmations for you to process.   

Listening Instructions for Activate Sessions

These sessions are very easy to follow.  Simply relax, listen, and pay attention to specific guidance. 

You will hear affirmations during periods of the session.  There is no breathing guidance in this session type.  As you hear them, listen to affirmations with minimal interpretation or thought.

After the message is fully heard, there are styles to integrating each affirmation.  We suggest you rotate between these styles on successive listening sessions.  Within a session, be low-key and consistent with the approach.

  1. Let your mind be quiet, the affirmation just fades.
  2. Recall the conceptual awareness of the affirmation, recalling what it means, without replaying the sound or words in your head.
  3. Quickly visualize a situation, either real or hypothetical, in which the affirmation fully and genuinely applies.

Please note, these listening recommendations are helpful to enhance the program, but there isn’t a wrong way to listen, as long as you remain present and aware of the material as much as feasible.

At other times, let your thoughts fade and return gently to listening to the sounds, your breathing, or body awareness.  Your mind will become quieter as you go through this program.  This effect helps you build focus and concentration in your everyday life.

Do NOT listen while driving, operating machinery, or performing dangerous activities.
